Hurricane Helene Recovery Efforts
After the devastating hit of Hurricane Helene to Western North Carolina, we joined together with other local churches, schools, and businesses to collect supplies and transport them the people who needed them most. We depended on the relational connections of Cragmont Assembly in Black Mountain, NC and emergency response expertise of Emerge Ministries to ensure your donations were put to good use. Cragmont and Emerge are leading the recovery efforts in their area by being a distribution center for supplies, meals, and volunteers. To date, they have prepared and distributed over 75,000 hot meals, handed out over 120,000 care packages to families, and coordinated over 100 volunteers. If you’d like to directly support Cragmont in their long-term recovery efforts, we ask you to pray and visit their website below to give financially.
Men’s Bible Study
Whether you’re a man who’s new to the faith or been following Jesus for a while, you are welcome here. We invite you to join us at church Thursdays at 7 pm where you’ll find a laid back atmosphere and men pursuing Jesus. You can expect to study the scriptures, throw around any questions you have, and strengthen one another with your testimonies. Since we believe fellowship and eating a meal together are essential to building real relationships, we devote the last Thursday of each month to eating supper as a group. The menu changes each month, so don’t miss it!
Youth Group
At New Direction we believe God desires a real relationship with everyone-regardless of their age. That is why we believe so strongly in creating a welcoming place for middle and high school students to connect with God and one another. Youth group unites students from different schools, towns, and churches to equip them to be a light in their generation. Our youth group gathers at church twice a month on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8 pm. Your student will meet our gifted leaders who plan engaging games, share personal testimonies, and teach Biblical truths...and of course bring snacks!
